How to clean a Wassily frame

To Make your Wassily Chair Frame pop like it’s new, following these simple instructions:

1.   With a damp rag wipe off all dust.

2.   Using a quality cleaner (Advanced Leather Solutions cleaner works great), clean the frames using a soft cloth, like a microfiber towel.  Wipe off all soapy residue with a clean, dry cloth.

 3.   Apply a generous amount of Bar Keeper’s Friend® (a hardware store buy) on a nylon scrub pad and scrub down the metal.  Again, wipe off all residue with a soft dry cloth.

4. Polish all metal surfaces with Triple Zero (0-0-0) steel wool.

Note: If the metal is pitted due to exposure to the elements, you’ll see an improvement but not back to like-new. If the metal is badly pitted, some clients have had success in dusguising the damage by powder coating the metal. This would give the piece a unique, non-traditional look
